Privacy Policy for Vectorial Live Companion for Chrome

Vectorial AI ("Vectorial," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Vectorial Live Companion for Chrome extension (the "Extension"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

The Extension helps users analyze live webpages, product experiences, copy, and user interfaces using synthetic audience personas.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide and improve the Extension.

Account information

When you sign in, we may collect your email address, organization name, user ID, and authentication information. If you use password login, your password is not stored by the Extension. If you use Google sign-in, Google and our authentication provider process the information required to complete your login.

Content you choose to share

Depending on the feature you use, we may process:

  • Page URLs, titles, and descriptions.
  • Screenshots, selected page sections, elements, or text.
  • Short screen captures that you choose to record.
  • Prompts, chat messages, selected audiences, generated responses, reports, and saved work.

The Extension accesses page content only after you activate it or start an analysis. It never reads your browsing history. It also does not automatically capture pages you have not chosen to analyze.

Using this Extension—like any other AI tool—on pages containing sensitive personal information is discouraged.

Voice input

If you use voice input, the Extension records audio only while you actively use the microphone feature. The audio is sent for speech-to-text processing and used to fill in your prompt. The Extension does not keep a continuous microphone connection.

Usage information and preferences

We may collect product usage information, such as features used, views opened, and diagnostic events. We may also use masked session recordings of the Extension's side panel to understand and improve the user experience. These recordings cover the Extension interface only, not the websites you browse. The login screen is not recorded, and input content is masked.

Limited information, such as your sign-in session, account details, theme, and temporary interface preferences, may be stored locally in your browser.

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • Authenticate users and maintain sign-in sessions.
  • Provide page analysis, persona feedback, chat, reports, voice transcription, and saved history.
  • Recommend relevant audiences based on the page context you choose to share.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Extension.
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Meet legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

How we share information

We may share relevant information with service providers that help us operate the Extension, including:

  • AI and speech-processing providers, for analysis, content generation, and voice transcription.
  • Google and Auth0, for optional Google sign-in.
  • PostHog, for product analytics and masked recordings of the Extension interface.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, for operating Vectorial services and storing account data.

We may also disclose information when you ask us to, when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Browser access and permissions

The Extension uses browser permissions to open its side panel, remember your session and preferences, and interact with the active page when you request an analysis. Page access is limited to the tab on which you activate the Extension.

Microphone and screen-capture access are optional and are requested only when you choose to use those features.

Data storage and retention

Account and preference information may be stored locally in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Account data, chats, reports, and analysis content may be stored on our servers so you can access your saved work.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Logging out clears locally stored authentication data, and uninstalling the Extension removes its locally stored data from Chrome.

You may delete individual chats in the Extension or contact us to request deletion of your account or other stored data.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted network connections. However, no online service is completely secure. Avoid capturing passwords, secrets, or other highly sensitive information.

Vectorial has completed a SOC 2 Type I examination and is ISO 27001 certified. These assurances apply to the systems and controls included within their respective audit and certification scopes.

Your choices and rights

You may:

  • Decline optional microphone or screen-capture access.
  • Delete saved chats.
  • Log out or uninstall the Extension.
  • Ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, where applicable.

If you signed in with Google, you may also manage the Extension's access through your Google account settings.

Third-party websites

The Extension may analyze websites that you choose to share. Those websites have their own privacy practices. This policy applies to Vectorial and the Extension, not to third-party websites you visit.

Children's privacy

The Extension is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International data transfers

Vectorial and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Extension or our practices. We will update the date above when changes are made.
